Brush 2-3 times per week with a slicker brush and metal comb to maintain their hard, wiry double coat. Hand stripping every 8-12 weeks is ideal for maintaining proper texture and vibrant color. Comb through the leg furnishings, beard, and eyebrows daily to prevent tangling. The body coat should be tight and close-lying.

Bathing Tips

Bathe every 4-6 weeks with a texturizing shampoo for wire coats. Avoid conditioners on the body that soften the wire texture. A light conditioner on leg furnishings only can help with detangling. Clean the beard thoroughly during each bath session.
