Goberians (Golden Retriever x Siberian Husky) carry a thick double coat from both parent breeds, often with the Golden's feathering and the Husky's plush density. Bathing Tips

Bathe every 6-8 weeks with a deshedding shampoo and conditioner. Both parent breeds have water-resistant coats with natural oils, so infrequent bathing is ideal. A high-velocity dryer is critical for blowing out loose undercoat -- this is where the most effective deshedding happens. During coat blowout, a professional deshedding bath and blowout is one of the best investments you can make.

Keep the feathered areas (ears, chest, legs, tail) trimmed between professional grooms to reduce matting. Dry the coat thoroughly after any water exposure -- swimming, rain, or baths. A rubber curry brush during daily petting sessions passively manages shedding. Wash dog bedding weekly during heavy shedding periods.

Seasonal Care

Goberians blow coat heavily twice a year in spring and fall, with shedding that can last 4-6 weeks each time. Daily deshedding with an undercoat rake is mandatory during these periods. In summer, the coat thins naturally but never shave a Goberian. Provide shade and water access and consider a cooling vest for outdoor activity.
